Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and efficiency
- Provide detailed menu descriptions and recommend specials or upselling opportunities to enhance guest satisfaction and sales
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining excellent presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments through POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, including bussing tables and assisting with food handling safety protocols
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery while adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist guests with questions about menu items, dietary restrictions, or special requests to promote guest relations and satisfaction
- Support host/hostess duties when needed by managing reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow management
- Uphold sanitation standards by following proper food handling procedures and ensuring a safe environment for all staff and guests
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for efficient order processing and cashiering
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle guest inquiries professionally
- Culinary experience or familiarity with food preparation enhances your ability to answer menu questions confidently
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours without compromising quality
- Ability to upsell menu items naturally to increase sales while enhancing the guest experience
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing, and change calculation
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in bussing tables, supporting kitchen operations, or serving in a nightclub environment is a plus
- Strong communication skills paired with hospitality expertise to create welcoming guest relations in fast-paced settings
