Overview
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Food Services Team. This role is essential in providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for students. This position supports the daily operations of school nutrition, including transporting meals, maintaining sanitation, and ensuring food safety standards are met throughout service.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities(other related duties may be assigned):

The following are typical duties and responsibilities.

  • Estimate daily supply needs based on meal counts and menu planning
  • Prepare, assemble, and serve a variety of food items
  • Transport meals and supplies between kitchen and serving sites, as required
  • Set up and maintain serving lines ensuring safe food temperatures
  • Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems for multiple meal services including breakfast, lunch, and supper as necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of serving areas, tables, equipment, and kitchen space
  • Report equipment malfunctions or safety issues to supervisor
  • Rotate stock and manage inventory in storage and refrigeration areas
  • Maintain accurate records including daily production logs and meal counts
  • Support special event food service as assigned
  • Assists in setting up of cafeteria for special events

Qualifications

Ability to:

  • Safely lift and transport up to 50 pounds
  • Stand and/or walk within the work area for extended periods
  • Operate commercial kitchen and food service equipment safely
  • Work cooperatively with staff, students, and the public
  • Follow oral and written directions accurately
  • Take initiative and complete assigned tasks promptly and accurately
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace under time constraints
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully in a team environment
