Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Green Waste Yard Attendant with experience operating heavy equipment and mechanical knowledge. This role is responsible for managing incoming materials, operating equipment to process logs and debris, maintaining yard organization, and assisting with routine equipment maintenance and repairs.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in keeping equipment running properly, and understands the importance of safety and productivity in a fast-paced yard environment.

Responsibilities:

– Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, grinders, and other machinery used in processing logs, brush, and mulch
– Load and unload trucks delivering or picking up materials
– Sort and stage logs, chips, mulch, and debris in designated yard areas
– Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
– Perform routine equipment inspections, maintenance, and minor mechanical repairs
– Monitor equipment performance and report any issues promptly
– Assist customers and contractors delivering materials to the yard
– Follow all safety procedures and company policies
– Work efficiently as part of a team to meet daily production goals

Requirements:

– Experience operating heavy equipment (loader, excavator, or similar machinery required)
– Mechanical knowledge and ability to perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
– Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
– Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety
– Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor as needed
– Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
– Experience in tree service, land clearing, recycling, or similar outdoor work is preferred
