Landscape Supervisor Role and Responsibility

The Landscape Supervisor is responsible for leading teams of crew Foreman. Monitor and train forepersons in completing quality landscape jobs in an efficient manner, maintaining landscape grounds, promoting job worksite safety and exhibiting pride and quality workmanship. Interacts with the Senior Operations Director daily to follow project instructions, assist in coordinating scheduling, teach and train proper landscaping techniques and utilize equipment, power tools and hand tools to carry out landscape construction, landscape maintenance and snow operations of the crews. Oversee all inventory and maintenance of equipment, parts, supplies & vehicles.
Requirements:
- 3+ years minimum previous commercial Landscape Supervisory experience.
- Bi-lingual Spanish (preferred). Clear and concise communication skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record to operate company vehicles.
- Quality control site inspections.
- Highly motivated, self-driven and detail oriented.
- Punctual and dependable with a can-do attitude.
- Knowledge and experience with landscape and maintenance equipment, tasks, maintenance and applications.
- Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Accountable for all foreman and team members.
- Must be professional in appearance and actions.
- Available for seasonal long hours and occasional weekends as needed.
- Ability to work effectively as a team with individuals of differing backgrounds, knowledge, and skill levels.
- Able and willing to ask questions and seek guidance as needed.
- Eagerness to learn new job-related skills, continued education, and training.
- Must adhere to, train and enforce all company policies, processes, and Best Practices.
- Ability to train and teach crew forepersons tasks of landscape maintenance, equipment care, safety measures and quality workmanship.
- Ability to interact professionally with company management, its employees and clientele.
