Weekend Night Security Guard (Hotel)

Location: Hampton Inn – Ashland, VA
Schedule: Friday–Sunday | 9:00 PM – 3:00 AM
Job Type: Part-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and professional Security Guard to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, staff, and property during weekend night shifts. This role involves routine patrols, responding to incidents, and providing excellent guest service.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hotel property, including hallways, exterior grounds, and parking areas
• Monitor and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and guest concerns in a timely manner
• Complete incident reports for accidents, injuries, or unusual events
• Enforce hotel policies, including no-solicitation rules
• Escort guests or staff as needed for safety
• Communicate effectively with management regarding incidents or concerns

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation and punctual
• Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently overnight
• Previous security or hospitality experience preferred, but not required

Requirements

• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods
• Must be able to work all scheduled weekend shifts
• Basic knowledge of safety and emergency procedures

• Hotel setting (indoor and outdoor patrols)
• Fast-paced environment requiring quick decision-making
