TITLE: DISHWASHER

DEPARTMENT: FOOD & BEVERAGE

REPORTS TO: EXECUTIVE CHEF

Shade Eatery at Higgins Beach Inn, Scarborough ME. is seeking an experienced Dishwasher for our 2025 season running now through October. Shade Eatery prides itself on fresh local food and exceptional hospitality in fine casual dining atmosphere. Our menu focuses on fresh local seafood with new specials daily. You will benefit from individual training and there is ample room for you to share your culinary experience. You will be challenged by this high-volume location and rewarded with team support. JOB TYPE: Full or part-time seasonal May through October 26th, 2025

COMPENSATION: $17 – $19 per hour

EXPECTED HOURS: 20 – 40 per week

Some of the responsibilities of the Dishwasher include:

• Responsible for full cycle; load, run and unload machine ensuring that all dishes, glassware, flatware and silverware are properly cleaned at proper sanitation temperatures and is ready for service.
• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for pots, pans and trays that need to be hand washed.
• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.
• Sort and stack clean and dry dishes.
• Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
• Sweep, scrub and mop floors.
• Maintain clean dish area.
• Follows safety and sanitation procedures with all guidelines from OSHA, Department of Public Health and Risk Management.
