GENERAL LABOURER

Company Overrview

The company operates in a competitive global market producing wide ranging metal based assemblies and components across a variety of industry sectors including but not limited to Mining, Oil & Gas, Crane and Drag-line Components, Agricultural, Machine building, and Heavy Equipment Manufacturing.

Increased over the years, our extensive plant capacity developed to cater for our multi million pound turnover, is spread across four facilities manned by over 200 employees. It incorporates shot blasting, stress relieving, fitting, welding, machining, non-destructive testing, final paint, right on through to our own logistics network, resulting in high value finished items across many diverse sectors delivered right to the customer’s door.

Role Overview

Seeking 1 permanent full-time (minimum of 40 – 50 hours per week) GENERAL LABOURER to start as soon as possible.

The company typically operates on rotating shifts of days and afternoons. Candidates must be able to work both shifts, including swing shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and delivering materials
• Assist senior staff
• Assist painters
• Painting preparation
• Grind Welds to instruction
• Driving forklifts and cranes

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to grind welds to instructions provided
• Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
• Comfortable in a manufacturing environment
• Forklift and overhead crane experience is an asset.
• Able to follow work instructions and manufacturing specifications
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods
• Use a variety of tools and machines such as blowtorches, forklifts, lifts, power drills, grinders and saws.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
