Full job description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the housekeeping team to ensure guest rooms and public areas are clean, stocked, and guest-ready
  • Maintain cleanliness of public areas: hallways, elevators, lobbies, stairwells, restrooms, and back-of-house areas

Guest Room Support

  • Deliver and remove linen, towels, trash, and supplies from guest rooms
  • Assist room attendants by restocking carts and closets
  • Strip rooms when needed and remove soiled linens
  • Respond to guest requests (extra towels, pillows, amenities) promptly and courteously

Public Area Cleaning

  • Vacuum carpets and clean floors
  • Dust furniture, baseboards, vents, and fixtures
  • Empty trash and replace liners
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces

Laundry & Inventory Support

  • Transport clean and dirty laundry between laundry room and floors
  • Organize linen rooms and ensure proper par levels
  • Report low inventory or damaged items

Maintenance & Safety

  • Report maintenance issues (leaks, broken fixtures, lighting issues)
  • Follow hotel safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines
  • Handle cleaning chemicals safely and correctly

Guest Service

  • Greet guests professionally and assist when approached
  • Maintain a friendly, helpful attitude at all times

Other Duties

  • Assist with deep cleaning projects
  • Help with setup/cleanup for meetings or special events if needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by housekeeping leadership
