Job Summary:

The Transport Supervisor & Team Leader will be responsible for managing and coordinating the daily operations of our transportation team, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery and operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills, industry experience, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with drivers, clients, and management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in transportation management and a commitment to fostering a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of drivers, ensuring they adhere to company policies, safety standards, and service excellence.

• Operational Oversight: Oversee daily transportation operations, including scheduling, route planning, and vehicle allocation to optimize efficiency and service quality.

• Performance Monitoring:

  • Set and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets for each driver, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Utilize transport applications such as The Loopers, Uber, Bolt, and Yango to track driver performance metrics, including on-time arrivals, customer feedback, and service quality.
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for training and development.

• Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding transportation services, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety briefings and inspections of vehicles and equipment.

• Incident Management: Manage and report any incidents, accidents, or service disruptions, ensuring timely communication with relevant stakeholders and implementing corrective actions as needed.

• Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on transportation operations, including performance metrics, service quality, and areas for improvement to senior management.

• Budget Management: Assist in managing the transportation budget, monitoring expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.

• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including HR and finance, to ensure seamless operations and effective communication across the organization.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation management or a supervisory role within the transportation industry, preferably in a luxury or high-service environment.

• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.

• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Customer Service Orientation: Strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
