The Kitchen Assistant supports daily food service operations for Arlington School and Cornerstone for the Fall 2026/2027 school year. They would be responsible for helping to provide nutritious meals to students in a structured, trauma-informed educational environment. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen while contributing to a positive, supportive atmosphere for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of daily meals in accordance with program schedules
• Follow meal plans, portion guidelines, and any dietary accommodations for students
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all kitchen and food service areas
• Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment promptly and thoroughly
• Properly store, label, and rotate food items in compliance with health regulations
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and stocking food and kitchen supplies
• Support kitchen organization and ensure readiness for daily operations
• Follow all state health, safety, and licensing requirements
• Collaborate with school staff to support student needs
• Model appropriate behavior and maintain professionalism in a school setting
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold program policies at all times
