The Hotel Northampton is a vibrant Hotel with two restaurants known for our culinary skills. Our team thrives in a fast-paced environment where creativity and collaboration are valued. We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team.

As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen by preparing high-quality dishes in a timely manner. You will work alongside a team of chefs, ensuring that each plate meets our standards of presentation and taste. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and able to handle the pressures of a busy kitchen while maintaining a positive attitude.

  • Prepare all ingredients and food items according to standard recipes or as instructed by the head chef.
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients.
  • Cook and plate dishes to specification, ensuring high quality and consistency.
  • Monitor food quality during preparation and cooking processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, following health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation and timely service during peak hours.
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering as needed.
  • Participate in kitchen prep activities, including chopping, cleaning, and marinating.
  • Contribute to menu development and suggest new recipes and improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the head chef or kitchen manager.

**Qualifications:**

  • Proven experience as a line cook or relevant culinary experience.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and presentation.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
