PART-TIME CLERK’S OFFICE ASSISTANT
The Town of Campbell has an immediate opening for a part-time office administrative position. This opportunity is not only employment but also a meaningful learning experience that provides exposure to local government operations, builds transferable administrative skills. If you are a currently enrolled in college; this position has historically qualified for college internship credits.
Approximately 20 hours per week. Flexible work schedule. Starting pay $16.00/hr. with opportunity for pay increase evaluation after 3 months of employment.
Our ideal candidate is an individual with an interest in Public Administration, Office Administration, Government, or Finance.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greet and assist members of the public in person or by phone
- Prepare and distribute correspondence, memos, notices, and reports
- Maintain paper and electronic filing systems for records, permits, licenses, etc.
- Process incoming/outgoing mail and deliveries
- Collection of payments for Town services including, but not limited to, tax payments, special assessment payments, application fees, various licensing and permit fees
- Support in assembling monthly board meeting agendas and meeting packets
- Assists Town Clerk and Deputy Clerk as needed
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Customer service and cash-handling experience preferred
- Ability to operate various office machines including, but not limited to, copier, multi-line telephone, calculator, and PC required.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, email, and the internet required.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor; calmly approach and solve problems under stressful circumstances; and be flexible required.
- Excellent organizational skills required, including the ability to maintain organized, complete records and files, and prepare reports from such information.
