At the English Inn of Charlottesville guests enjoy our hearty complimentary buffet. The breakfast is one of our calling cards. Scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, biscuits and gravy, sausage or bacon, and other hot items are available daily, along with various fruits, cereals, juices, breads, oatmeal, and other items.
Responsibilities:
– Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards
– Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
– Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner
– Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
– Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
– Monitor inventory and communicate any shortages or needs
– Rotate duty in the dining room: bussing tables, refilling the buffet, interacting with guests, and pre- and post-service set up and cleanup.
Qualifications:
– Proven experience as a Cook or similar role in the food industry
– Knowledge of various cooking techniques and culinary terminology
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
– Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
– Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
– Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively
