Duties

• Assist with menu planning to ensure balanced and appealing meal options tailored to dietary requirements
• Prepare and cook meals following established recipes, safety standards, and quality guidelines
• Handle food with proper safety and hygiene practices, including food handling and storage protocols
• Serve meals efficiently and courteously to residents, patients, or customers in accordance with service standards
• Support catering events by preparing food, setting up serving stations, and ensuring timely delivery of dishes
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas throughout shifts
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and high-quality food presentation

Skills

• Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide, with knowledge of meal planning and food preparation techniques
• Strong culinary skills including knife handling, cooking methods, and meal assembly
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
• Experience in food service environments such as restaurants or catering operations
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and serving customers effectively
• Knowledge of the food industry standards related to kitchen operations, food industry best practices, and catering services
