JOB PURPOSE
The Housekeeping Team Member is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of public areas and Back of House spaces at our boutique hotel. This role involves performing various cleaning tasks, maintaining high standards of hygiene, and delivering exceptional service to enhance the guest experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and passionate about creating a welcoming environment for guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Room Cleaning:
- Remove dirty towels, linens, and trash from departure rooms. Ensure Housekeeping Attendants have supplies needed to complete their departure cleaning.
- As needed, assist in cleaning rooms when operations calls for it.
- Report any maintenance issues or room discrepancies to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
Public Area Maintenance:
- Clean and maintain public areas, such as hallways, lobbies, pool deck, lounges, and restrooms, to ensure a pleasant guest experience.
- Empty trash receptacles and restock supplies as necessary.
- Promptly address spills, trash, and other issues as they arise.
Guest Interaction:
- Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and provide assistance as needed.
Laundry Services:
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens and towels according to hotel standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Follow proper procedures for handling and storing cleaning chemicals.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and hotel policies to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
Safety Compliance:
- Follow health and safety procedures consistently.
- Participate in regular safety training sessions.
