CDL B Driver

Full job description

Kett Engineering is seeking a CDL B Driver testing trucks in Plymouth, MI. Job will consist of driving on highway/city routes for data collection and evaluating durability performance.

The project is running Monday – Friday. The hours are 7:30am – 4pm.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • CDL B license with at least 3 years experience.
  • Clean MVR- No tickets, accidents or suspensions.
  • Current DOT Card.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Experience writing detailed reports; preferred.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Be a team player.
  • Must be comfortable riding with an Engineer.
  • Must be able to present in a professional manner at all times.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to travel periodically to perform over the road testing and vehicle transfers.
  • Ability to drive in adverse extreme weather conditions, including harsh winter conditions.
  • Drive and evaluate advanced tractor/trailers and other vehicles for testing purposes.
  • Drive approved durability schedules in accordance with all established procedures.
  • Prepare accurate, clear and concise Drivers Reports on a daily basis
  • Conduct pre and post trip safety inspections as required.
  • Perform other related driving / vehicle preparation work as required. Such work includes vehicle shuttling, detailing, etc.
  • Assists with clerical work or other jobs as required by Supervision.
  • Follow policies and procedures of both Kett Engineering and customer.
  • Act as a mentor to other drivers if assigned to do so.
