Kett Engineering is seeking a CDL B Driver testing trucks in Plymouth, MI. Job will consist of driving on highway/city routes for data collection and evaluating durability performance.
The project is running Monday – Friday. The hours are 7:30am – 4pm.
REQUIREMENTS:
- CDL B license with at least 3 years experience.
- Clean MVR- No tickets, accidents or suspensions.
- Current DOT Card.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Experience writing detailed reports; preferred.
- Must be computer literate.
- Be a team player.
- Must be comfortable riding with an Engineer.
- Must be able to present in a professional manner at all times.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to travel periodically to perform over the road testing and vehicle transfers.
- Ability to drive in adverse extreme weather conditions, including harsh winter conditions.
- Drive and evaluate advanced tractor/trailers and other vehicles for testing purposes.
- Drive approved durability schedules in accordance with all established procedures.
- Prepare accurate, clear and concise Drivers Reports on a daily basis
- Conduct pre and post trip safety inspections as required.
- Perform other related driving / vehicle preparation work as required. Such work includes vehicle shuttling, detailing, etc.
- Assists with clerical work or other jobs as required by Supervision.
- Follow policies and procedures of both Kett Engineering and customer.
- Act as a mentor to other drivers if assigned to do so.
