Duties

• Operate heavy machinery and farm equipment such as tractors, forklifts, irrigation systems, and power tools to support planting, harvesting, and maintenance activities.
• Perform equipment repairs and maintenance using hand tools, welding techniques, and basic mechanical knowledge to keep machinery in optimal condition.
• Support crop growing activities by planting, watering via irrigation systems and harvesting.
• Assist with other farm worker during various tasks to ensure safety protocols are followed and work is completed efficiently and safely.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, storage facilities, and animal enclosures to promote a safe and organized environment.
• Follow safety procedures diligently during heavy lifting, operation of heavy equipment, or handling hazardous materials.

Requirements

• Proven experience on a farm or agricultural setting is preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing farm machinery or equipment.
• Ability to operate forklifts, heavy equipment, power tools, and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems, and general farming techniques.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
