Responsibilities

• Assist delivery drivers with loading, unloading, and securing packages to ensure safe transport.
• Support dispatch operations by organizing delivery schedules and assisting with route planning.
• Help conduct vehicle inspections to verify mechanical condition and readiness for daily routes.
• Provide physical support in moving goods within warehouses or loading areas using manual handling techniques or equipment like pallet jacks.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and dispatch team to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle inspections for accountability and reporting purposes.
• Support the overall efficiency of delivery routes by helping with route navigation and timely package handoffs.

Skills

• Experience in delivery driver roles or shuttle driving with a strong understanding of commercial vehicle operations.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, vehicle maintenance, and basic troubleshooting for trucks or vans.
• Familiarity with warehouse procedures including load & unload processes, pallet jacks, and heavy equipment operation.
• Ability to assist with various types of vehicles such as box trucks, flatbeds, dump trucks, or tractor-trailers.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and drivers under tight schedules.
• Physical ability to move heavy packages safely and efficiently; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of route driving principles, safety protocols, and traffic regulations related to commercial vehicles.
