Job Summary
Join our vibrant team as a Breakfast Attendant at the Hampton Inn & Suites Irving DFW Airport North4500 Plaza Drive, Irving, TX 75063 and be the first smiling face our guests see in the morning! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a delicious, fresh breakfast buffet, ensuring all food safety standards are met, and creating a warm, welcoming environment for our guests. Responsibilities
- Prepare and replenish breakfast items, including hot and cold dishes, beverages, and accompaniments, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
- Set up and maintain the breakfast buffet area, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and proper food handling at all times
- Assist guests with food selections, answer questions about menu items, and provide exceptional guest service with a friendly attitude
- Monitor food temperatures and freshness to uphold food safety regulations and quality standards
- Clear tables, bus dishes, and clean dining areas promptly to ensure a tidy environment for guests
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders and payments accurately
- Support catering or banquet setups when needed, including delivering meals or assisting with special events
Requirements
- Previous kitchen experience or food preparation background preferred; familiarity with food safety practices essential
- Experience with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication and phone etiquette
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks involved in meal prep and cleaning
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, dietary considerations, and sanitation standards necessary for safe operation
- Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is highly desirable; experience in catering or banquet settings is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- A positive attitude with strong teamwork skills to collaborate seamlessly with kitchen staff and front-of-house team
