Overview
Join our dynamic construction team as a Painter’s Helper and be a vital part of transforming spaces! Duties
Assist lead painters with surface preparation including sanding, scraping, and cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Support the application of paint, stains, and finishes using hand tools and power tools such as airless sprayers, brushes, rollers, and caulking guns. Prepare work sites by covering furniture, floors, and fixtures to protect them during painting activities. Learn to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project specifications and scope. Help with the installation of fixtures, trim carpentry, and restoration work as directed by senior team members. Assist in plastering, stucco application, masonry work, and basic concrete finishing tasks to support diverse project needs. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris safely while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and mixing paints accurately. Familiarity with hand tools such as scrapers, brushes, rollers, caulking guns, and power tools including drills and sanders. Knowledge of construction estimating principles to understand project scope and material requirements. Understanding of color theory to assist in selecting appropriate paint colors and finishes. Experience or interest in residential and commercial painting projects across renovation sites. Construction site experience with safety procedures and working at heights or on scaffolding. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, or schematics related to fixture installation or remodeling projects. Skills in caulking, trim carpentry, restoration work, plastering, stucco application, masonry or industrial painting are a plus. Experience with welding or airless paint spraying techniques is beneficial but not required.
