Shop Helper / Fabrication Trainee – Learn a Skilled Trade
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour and up, based on experience
Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday
Typical Hours: 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM (hours may vary) Overtime offered

Position Overview
The Shop Helper / Fabrication Trainee supports daily shop operations while learning fabrication techniques used in sheet metal manufacturing. This role provides a pathway from entry-level helper to experienced shop mechanic through on-the-job training and skill development.
What You’ll Learn & Do
- Assist with bending, forming, assembling, and fabrication of sheet metal
- Learn how to safely operate fabrication equipment and tools
- Measure and prepare materials using a tape measure and shop drawings
- Support experienced shop mechanics and fabricators
- Maintain organized and safe work areas
- Participate in hands-on training and skill development
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Comfortable working with tools and in a shop environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Construction, mechanical, or shop experience is helpful but not required
