Overall Responsibility
To oversee and control all engineering related items in order to maintain a high standard for the property integrity. To ensure each guest receives the Greatest Customer Experience! Effectively communicating guest’s and Team Member’s needs to the appropriate departments.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Always maintain a professional and positive appearance toward the guests and Team Members. Anticipate and assess guests needs, and respond in a courteous and professional manner

- Communicate with all other departments of the hotel in a friendly and courteous manner to ensure excellent services.
- Fulfill all guest requests or offer an option if request cannot be met
- Know and understand all services and amenities the hotel offers
- Perform other duties as required or assigned
- Comply with energy conservation and job safety regulations
- Must always practice proper safety rules to ensure the safety and security of all guests and Team Members. (issuance of keys, not announcing room numbers and fire procedures)
- Have a working knowledge of the hotels safety procedures and equipment as well as emergency plans
- Document all maintenance problems and /or safety hazards by filling out a work order
- Make daily walks both internal and external making notes to insure aesthetic acceptance to our standards
- Complete all work order requests in an efficient and timely manner
- Perform and or schedule preventive maintenance of equipment, rooms and public areas. Perform all special projects in the time frame outlined by the General Manager
- Order supplies and ensure par levels for maintenance supplies
- Maintain cost controls when ordering all supplies and materials needed for the job
- Maintain a controlled labor cost if staff includes anyone other than the Chief Engineer
- Maintain proper equipment tools, supply levels in the shop and ensure the property does not run out of an essential item.
- Weekly perform risk management walks and complete check list
- Attend all management (team ) meetings
- Ensure the evening shift has all the necessary supplies and tools to handle any issues that may arise in the evening
- Follows hotel policies for ordering and maintaining supplies
