Position Summary: A Hotel Shuttle Van Driver is responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation services to hotel guests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. This position involves operating a hotel-owned shuttle van or minibus to transport guests to and from the hotel, nearby airports, attractions, and other destinations.

Essential Job Functions

  • Safely and courteously transport hotel guests to and from various destinations, including airports, event venues, restaurants, and other local attractions.
  • Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage and other personal belongings.
  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the shuttle van to ensure it is in good working condition. Report any issues or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Follow all safety and traffic regulations, including seatbelt use, speed limits, and other local driving laws.
  • Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, maintaining a positive and customer-focused attitude.
  • Provide information about local attractions, services, and points of interest when requested.
  • Maintain effective communication with the hotel’s front desk, concierge, and other relevant departments to coordinate guest transportation efficiently.
  • Keep the shuttle van clean and well-maintained, both inside and outside.
  • Ensure the van is stocked with necessary supplies, such as water, maps, and promotional materials.
  • Maintain a punctual and reliable schedule to ensure that guests reach their destinations on time.
  • Adapt to changing traffic and weather conditions, rerouting as necessary.
  • Handle payments or vouchers for transportation services, if required, and issue receipts as needed.
  • Be prepared to handle emergencies or unforeseen situations, such as vehicle breakdowns or guest medical issues, in a professional and efficient manner
  • Ensures safety by following guest check-in and security procedures and reporting suspicious activity to security, manager, or MOD
  • Assists all departments in servicing the guests especially during high volume periods
  • Attends meetings as required
