Duties

• Safely operate a box truck or commercial vehicle with manual transmission to deliver packages across designated routes.
• Load and unload shipments using equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks, ensuring proper handling of goods.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity while adhering to safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting recipients professionally, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction upon delivery.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to maintain safety standards and report any issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and shipment records for accountability.
• Assist with warehouse tasks such as moving inventory, organizing shipments, and supporting team members as needed.

Experience

• Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier is highly preferred, especially with box trucks or similar vehicles.
• Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks safely and efficiently.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, including loading/unloading procedures and equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
• Knowledge of route driving best practices to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining safety standards.
