Job Title: Cellarman Location: Orono Brewing Company

Reports To: Head Brewer / Production Manager

Position Overview

Orono Brewing Company is seeking a hardworking, detail-oriented Cellarman to support daily brewery operations. This role is essential to maintaining beer quality from fermentation through packaging. The ideal candidate is reliable, team-focused, and passionate about craft beer, with a strong commitment to cleanliness and process consistency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and sanitation (CIP) of tanks, kegs, and brewing equipment
• Assist with beer transfers, dry hopping, and yeast harvesting
• Monitor fermentation progress and record data accurately
• Package beer (kegging, canning) and assist with mix pack assembly as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe cellar environment
• Assist brewers with wort production and general brewery tasks
• Handle chemicals safely and follow all safety protocols
• Support inventory management of raw materials and finished beer

Qualifications

• Previous brewery or food/beverage production experience preferred, but not required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Capable of lifting 55+ lbs and working on feet for extended periods
• Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and wet environments
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to operate a forklift,pumps, and other brewing machinery in a safe and respectful manner.

Schedule & Availability

• Full-time position with potential for early mornings, evenings, and weekends
