Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented hotel housekeeper to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors. Previous hotel experience and a strong background in custodial or janitorial work are highly valued. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a positive guest experience through exceptional cleaning standards and hospitality service.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas according to hotel standards
• Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish supplies such as towels, toiletries, and amenities
• Perform floor care duties including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet cleaning
• Maintain cleanliness of hallways, lobbies, elevators, and other common spaces
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
• Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff
• Adhere to hotel policies regarding confidentiality and guest privacy
• Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleaning tasks as needed

Skills

• Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services within a hotel or hospitality setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet extraction
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage time efficiently during shifts
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of hospitality industry practices and customer service principles is advantageous
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that involve standing for long periods, lifting, bending, and moving furniture or supplies
