Salary offers are based on the candidate’s equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek.

About the Position

The Management Assistant offers high-level support and analytical services to the Environmental Services Department’s Office of the Director. Operating with minimal supervision, this role leverages a comprehensive understanding of County and Departmental procedures and operations. Key responsibilities include managing technology assets and inventory, coordinating and supporting the development and implementation of safety programs, and supporting the rollout and adoption of new programs.

The position also assists with training, leading non-routine special projects, and ensuring the effective management of databases and other departmental functions. This role involves making independent decisions, often with minor management oversight. This position is pivotal in ensuring smooth operations and the successful execution of departmental priorities.

We Require

• Two years of administrative experience
• Associate’s Degree in a field related to the area of assignment
• A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

Other Requirements

• A valid Arizona driver’s license, which must be maintained throughout employment, is required at the time of appointment, or the ability to arrange necessary and timely transportation for field travel. Employees in this class may be required to use their own vehicles
