Job Summary
The Dietary Aide plays a crucial role in supporting the dietary department by assisting with meal preparation, serving food, and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in the kitchen and dinning area.

Duties

  • Assist in meal preparation by following established recipes and portion control guidelines.
  • Serve meals to residents in a timely manner, ensuring all dietary restrictions are met.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks to ensure a hygienic environment in accordance with food safety regulations.
  • Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting any shortages to the supervisor.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during meal service.
  • Adhere to all food handling and safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure quality service.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food service or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to work independently when required.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents and staff members.
