The Country Club Of Rancho Bernardo is looking for a Part-time Line Cook
Position Requirements:
– At least 4 years of related STABLE experience as a Cook in high volume production.
– Experience in fine dining.
– Possess a positive attitude.
– Must have strong sense of urgency.
– Must have a flexible schedule, 8-25 hours per week. – Willing to work a flexible schedule and holidays
– Must love food.
– Being able to execute daily production in an efficient manner.
– Culinary graduates preferred, but not required.
Essential functions:
Prepares all food items for the restaurant and Banquets “as ordered” in a timely manner.
Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe, production and portion standards.
Date all food containers and rotate, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures.
Cleans and maintains station in practicing food safety and sanitation.
Note any out of stock items or possible shortages. Assist in keeping buffet stocked.
Successful candidates will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
Commitment to quality service and food and beverage knowledge
Must possess exceptional guest service skills.
Detail oriented and organized.
English language and professional communication skills are required.
Ability to work in a team environment work calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Must be a self starter and have problem solving abilities
- Must be able to pass a background and reference check
- Must hold a San Diego County Food Handler’s Card.
Hours vary, weekend nights and holidays may be required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.00 – $23.00 per hour
