Reports to: Transportation Director

Position Summary

The Activity Driver is responsible for the safe and reliable transportation of students, staff, and chaperones to extracurricular events, athletic competitions, and school-sponsored activities. This position often involves driving during evenings, weekends, and non-regular school hours. The driver ensures safety, professionalism, and a positive representation of the district while traveling.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely operate a school bus, van, or other district-approved vehicle for activity and athletic trips.
• Transport students, staff, and equipment to and from scheduled events in accordance with trip itineraries.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Maintain order and enforce safety rules for all passengers during trips.
• Communicate effectively with coaches, sponsors, and supervisors regarding schedules and trip logistics.
• Ensure the vehicle remains clean, fueled, and ready for use.
• Report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical concerns promptly.
• Uphold district standards of conduct and serve as a positive representative of the school community.
