Housekeepers work collaboratively as a team to strip, clean, and turn guest rooms and guest houses, setting the stage for our guest’s overall experience. Attention to detail, and commitment to excellence and high standards is required. Daily responsibilities include laundry, vacuuming, dusting, making beds, and cleaning bathrooms. Housekeepers greet and interact with hotel guests daily and are expected to be knowledgeable on the history of the property to answer guest questions. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Arriving at scheduled time.
- Review daily occupancy reports to understand flow of departures and arrivals.
- Strip, clean, and inspect all guest rooms, following company procedures and policies. • Replenish all bathroom supplies including all paper products, towels, and toiletries.
- Ability to follow assignments of supervisor.
- Communicate with reservation staff when rooms are ready for guests.
- Notifies maintenance staff of necessary repairs needed and the level of urgency.
- Communicates with reservation staff promptly to report and track lost and found items, so guest can be notified immediately.
- Communicate clearly and professionally using the two-way radio system.
- Drives/operates the housekeeping carts at a speed of no faster than 10 MPH this is to help ensure a safe and respectful environment.
- Keeping the carts in good condition, clean and maintained.
- Keeping the laundry room clean and organized.
- Perform all laundry duties to support both the hotel and restaurant operations.
- Learn the history of the property and individual rooms to become confident answering questions from hotel guests.
- Perform all other duties as requested by supervisor or other management. Skills, Experience, Education & Abilities
