Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this pivotal role, you will support the overall management of restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient food and beverage delivery, and a positive dining experience for all guests. Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service flow, and staff coordination to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Lead and motivate a diverse team of staff members, providing training, coaching, and development opportunities to enhance performance.
- Manage inventory control processes, including ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction to maintain optimal food quality and cost efficiency.
- Supervise cash handling procedures and utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for accurate transaction processing.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and uphold high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food handling practices.
- Support shift management by scheduling staff effectively to meet customer demand during peak hours while maintaining labor costs.
- Collaborate with kitchen management on food production, quality control, and menu execution to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
- Assist in interviewing potential team members and participate in hiring decisions to build a strong workforce aligned with company values.
- Foster a culture of hospitality by delivering outstanding customer service and resolving guest concerns promptly.
- Contribute to budgeting efforts by monitoring expenses related to food costs, labor, and supplies to maximize profitability.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service management or restaurant supervision within quick service or fast food environments.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations—preferably with casual dining or fine dining experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with prior assistant manager or supervisory roles in the food industry.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for transaction processing and reporting.
- Knowledge of inventory control methods, food safety standards, and health regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Experience in staff training & development, interviewing, shift management, and team leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
