Duties

• Handle cash register operations using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring accurate transactions and cash handling
• Greet customers warmly, take their orders efficiently, and provide personalized service to enhance their experience
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas and dining spaces
• Manage food handling and serving responsibilities, including basic food prep and ensuring quality standards are met
• Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness
• Uphold health regulations by following proper food safety procedures and food industry best practices

Skills

• Proven experience as a barista or in a similar coffee industry role, with knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and beverage presentation
• Strong cashiering skills with familiarity in POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for smooth transactions
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and handle inquiries professionally
• Effective time management to prioritize tasks during busy hours while maintaining quality standards
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate register balancing
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and proper sanitation practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment while maintaining attention to detail
