SUMMARY:

The Housekeeper welcome’s and assists all guests at the hotel, as needed. The Housekeeper provides courteous and prompt service to guests and other departments. This position assists housekeeping on assigned floors ensuring that all hotel cleanliness standards are met and operating procedures are followed.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provide the highest quality of service to the guest at all times.

· Always respond to guests and colleagues in a friendly, helpful manner.

· Inspect all public areas to ensure cleanliness standards have been met.

· Assist room attendants with heavy items such as mattresses and soiled linens. Deliver linens and necessary supplies to room attendants.

· Collect trash throughout the hotel including: room attendant’s carts, vending areas, offices and restrooms.

· Respond to guest requests such as delivery of housekeeping supplies (e.g. linens, cots, roll-away beds, etc.) in a timely and efficient manner.

· Shampoo carpet, sweep, mop, strip and wax floors throughout hotel.

· Clean rooms, hallways, restrooms and other service areas.

· Maintain housekeeping carts.

· Sort linen, stock room attendant closets, pickup clean linen, and refill each floor pantry.

· Collect soiled linen for laundering.

· Assist in rotation cleaning duties, including steam clean carpets, polish metal, and other super cleaning tasks as required.

· Report missing/found items, damage, or merchandise problems promptly to supervisor.

· Perform duties of a room attendant when necessary.

· Wear proper uniform at all times in accordance with the Company Dress Code.
