Basic Function:
Direct involvement in the manufacturing and packaging of grass seed mixtures and order preparation with a focus on both efficiency and quality. Attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety and quality standards are all necessary for success in this position.
Essential Functions:
- Operate Blenders: Operate various blenders and equipment as part of the production process. Follow operational procedures to ensure the safe and effective use of all assigned machinery.
- Assembly and Production: Perform tasks related to assembling, fabricating, and processing components or finished products. Follow standardized processes to maintain consistency and quality.
- Quality Control: Inspect raw goods and finished products for defects, flaws, and inconsistencies during the production process. Identify and address issues promptly to maintain product quality standards. Make sure all material in the warehouse is properly stored and covered when necessary. Ensure all goods are properly intact and in sellable condition.
- Packaging and Labeling: Properly package finished products according to established guidelines. Ensure accurate labeling, proper sealing, and appropriate documentation for shipment if applicable.
- Material Handling: Move and handle raw materials (both manually and with pallet jack/forklift), components, and finished products within the production area. Follow proper handling procedures to prevent damage or contamination.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the production area clean and organized, following good manufacturing practices (GMP) and safety guidelines. Regularly clean machinery and workspaces to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment. Making sure all material is put away in its proper location as well as making sure the warehouse is clean and clear of debris and trash.
- Inventory Management: Keep track of necessary materials needed for production by working closely with supervisors. Make sure inventory is being properly accounted for when loading/unloading customers, checking incoming/outgoing freight, and when doing production.
