Duties

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and attention to detail
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues quickly, and ensuring a positive dining experience
• Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold food safety standards

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially fine dining or nightclub settings
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations management
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for cashiering and billing purposes
• Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety regulations within the food industry
• Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus for understanding food preparation processes
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
• Experience in upselling techniques to boost sales while enhancing guest satisfaction
• Host/hostess experience or serving background preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates
