Full job description
The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, property, and assets. This role focuses on crime prevention which involves monitoring premises, enforcing security policies, responding to incidents, delivering customer-focused security presence and reporting safety concerns to management as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas (indoors and outdoors) to deter unauthorized activity
- Coordinate with the Surveillance Department on suspicious activity
- Enforce company policies, regulations, and procedures
- Provide a visible security presence to deter theft, cheating, fraud, and disorderly conduct
- Respond promptly to disturbances, medical emergencies, security incidents and safety hazards
- De-escalate conflicts involving guests or employees using approved techniques
- Assist with large cash movements, drops, and escorts when required
- Complete detailed incident, guest ejection, and accident reports
- Communicate effectively with management
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Prior experience in hospitality security, casino security, law enforcement, or military
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
- Flexible availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
- Strong observation and situational awareness with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Conflict resolution and de-escalation abilities
- Professional demeanor under pressure
- Accurate report writing and documentation
- Ability to handle high-traffic environments discreetly
