Overview
Join our dynamic Grounds Crew/Laborer as a vital team member. During the warmer months you’ll be dedicated to maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces at our campground and all four mobile home communities. Familiarity of landscape tools like weed-whackers, hedge clippers, and walker mowers is a plus. You will be responsible for mowing, watering plants, hedge clipping, and weeding flower gardens. During the colder months tasks include: Snow removal, both plowing and shoveling, remodeling rental properties, painting, rebuilding picnic tables, light construction, reading water meters, and assisting with water line and sewer system issues from repair to complete install. Sewer System knowledge is a plus.
$21-$23 = STARTING RATE. PAY MAY INCREASE WITH EXPERIENCE OR AFTER PROBATIONARY PERIOD.
Responsibilities
- Monday – Friday Day Shift BUT Must be available overnights when snow storms hit and must also be available for weekend shifts at the campground when needed.
- Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, weeding, watering and weed-wacking. Maintenance such as pruning, tree trimming, and shrub care
- Operate hand tools and power tools, mowers and weed-wackers safely for tasks.
- Ability to shovel snow, operate different snow blowers and be available for snow plowing operations of all the communities. Includes overnights if weather requires.
- Conduct water meter readings and replace broken water meters to ensure proper readings.
- Fall Clean up of all communities and campground raking and blowing leaves.
- Assist with down trees, water line leaks/brakes, sewer septic issues.
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency on the job site.
Experience
- MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE.
- Prior experience with landscaping, lawn care, or groundskeeping.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools, mowers and landscape equipment are advantageous.
- Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators is a plus but not mandatory; training will be available.
- Knowledge of Septic Systems and or Water Lines is helpful but will train.
- Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards is essential.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills related to landscape maintenance and construction projects.
