Sous Chef – Giorgios Hospitality Group
JOB SUMMARY:
Giorgios Hospitality and Lifestyle Group is seeking a Sous Chef to head up a kitchen team in Raleigh, NC. This person will be responsible for overseeing and managing our enthusiastic team of back of the house staff while executing daily menus. We are currently looking for a self-driven and motivated individual who can help delegate in the kitchen. This person will be responsible for bringing our food and hospitality philosophy to life with quality and consistency at our highest volume properties.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Leading a team in executing the existing recipes at the highest possible level
· Contributing to menu changes in collaboration with the Executive Chef
· Overseeing the hiring and orientation process of new team members, as well as staff training and job performance
· Managing inventory and costing
· Providing support to assistant managers and staff
· Maintaining the sanitation, cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment
· 3 to 5 years management experience in the hospitality field
· Strong culinary background
· Skill for problem-solving
· Possesses a management style that’s rooted in compassion and patience
· Excellent organizational skills
· Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends and holidays.
