Overview
Natural Way Lawn & Tree Care is looking for a dependable Shop Helper / Shop Assistant (Entry Level) to help keep our shop and equipment yard clean, organized, and running smoothly.

This is an entry-level position that supports our mechanics and production teams by handling basic shop tasks and helping keep our facility in good working order. The right candidate enjoys staying active, working with their hands, and being part of a team that keeps operations moving.

This role is based at our Lake Orion shop and supports our fleet of trucks and lawn care equipment used by crews across Southeast Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Sweep shop floors and maintain clean work areas
• Empty trash and recycling throughout the shop and yard
• Help keep tools, parts, and equipment organized
• Assist with basic shop tasks and projects
• Run occasional parts or supply pickups from local vendors
• Help keep the equipment yard orderly and safe
• Assist mechanics and shop staff as needed
• Operate a forklift or assist with moving equipment and materials when needed.
• Support general shop operations to help keep crews moving each day

Qualifications

• Reliable and able to show up on time consistently
• Comfortable working in a shop and outdoor environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Valid Michigan driver’s license with a good driving record
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Mechanical interest or basic tool familiarity is a plus but not required
• Forklift experience helpful but not required
