Wertz Geotechnical Engineering is a local geotechnical engineering consulting firm seeking a motivated Entry-Level Geotechnical Drill Helper to assist our drill crews in performing subsurface investigations for geotechnical and environmental projects. This position involves working outdoors, assisting with drilling operations, and supporting the collection of soil samples. Prior experience preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

· Assisting in loading heavy equipment & job materials

· Running support equipment, trucks and pumps

· Handling and transporting drill rods, augers, and sampling equipment

· Assisting with installation of soil borings and monitoring wells

· Cleaning and maintenance of tooling, equipment & facilities

· Assisting in the operation and mobilization of drill rigs under supervision

· Accurately collecting and logging soil and rock samples

· Following all company and site safety procedures
