Responsibilities

• Manage reservation bookings and waitlists using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Assist servers by delivering menus, refilling beverages, and responding promptly to guest needs
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining areas to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
• Support guest relations by addressing inquiries courteously and providing information about menu items or restaurant policies
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate seating arrangements and service flow
• Uphold phone etiquette standards when handling reservations or guest inquiries via phone or online platforms

Skills

• Proven experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced food service environment
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact clearly with guests and team members
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred
• Previous experience in hospitality or hotel guest services is a plus
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of serving protocols, guest relations, and phone etiquette to enhance overall guest experience
