Shop Laborer
Log Cabin Fence Co., Inc. – Southwestern Pennsylvania | Full-Time

We are looking for a mechanically minded individual to join our team in a hands-on role, supporting equipment, machinery, and field operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with machinery, hydraulics, and fabrication, and takes pride in keeping equipment running smoothly.

Pay
$20.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level

Hours
7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday
Typically 40–50 hours per week depending on season
Overtime paid at time and a half for hours over 40

Duties / Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and modify farm and construction equipment
• Work on hydraulic systems (hoses, fittings, cylinders, pumps)
• Perform welding and light fabrication as needed
• Assist with painting, prep, and finishing of equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues in the shop and field
• Support crews with equipment setup and repairs
• Load/unload materials and equipment for deliveries and customer jobs
• Occasionally assist customers with equipment questions

Qualifications / Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Experience with farm machinery, construction equipment, or similar systems
• Knowledge of hydraulics and mechanical systems
• Comfortable operating forklifts, loaders, or similar equipment (or willing to learn)
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
• Safety-focused, dependable, and detail-oriented
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Willingness to work in both shop and field environments
