Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and personable Server / Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to work in a variety of positions in two totally different restaurants. Beacons Restaurant has a high-end bar, patio bar, plus an active dining room, and a very busy function space. With this position you will also have the unique opportunity to work on the floor, and the all-new Bar at the Eagle Brook Saloon. Your enthusiasm, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks will ensure a lively and welcoming atmosphere. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your hospitality skills while working in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
  • Prepare and serve a variety of drinks, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with safety standards
  • Serve food promptly and ensure presentation meets quality standards
  • Manage cash handling and cashiering duties accurately while processing payments efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Assist with catering, banquet service, or nightclub events as needed to support special occasions and large parties
  • Demonstrate excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables and bar orders simultaneously
  • Engage with customers to promote sales of menu items and enhance their overall experience
  • Follow all food handling procedures, ensuring proper hygiene and safety practices are upheld at all times

Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant or food service experience is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
  • Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse guests
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and calculating bills accurately
  • Experience in catering or banquet service is a plus
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality service
  • Familiarity with beverage preparation techniques including brewing or bartending skills is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role
