Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team at The Allen Company, Inc., this role is essential for ensuring timely and safe delivery of materials to our job sites. Your contributions will directly support our mission of providing high-quality construction services.

Responsibilities

• This position will report to the Danville Shop to get the agenda for the day.
• Safely deliver, pick up, and/or move equipment or supplies to various job sites.
• Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.
• Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Most deliveries will be done in 2 Ton Flat Bed or 1 Ton Pickup
• If no deliveries are scheduled for the day, this position will help around the Shop and various yard duties as assigned by Shop Foreman.

Requirements

• CDL is a plus or be able to pass DOT Med Card physical.
• Valid driver’s license with a positive driving record.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of route planning and navigation systems.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Able to comply with all safety procedures and requirements.
• Able to function year-round.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including overtime and Saturdays as needed.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, and background evaluation
