Position Overview

The Logistics Coordinator plays an essential role in ensuring freight moves efficiently and on schedule. This position coordinates driver assignments, tracks shipments, maintains transportation documentation, and communicates with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure a smooth delivery process.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transportation schedules, including pickups, deliveries, and driver assignments
• Communicate with drivers regarding routes, load information, delivery instructions, and schedule updates
• Track shipments and provide real-time delivery status updates to customers and internal teams
• Prepare and maintain transportation documents such as Bills of Lading (BOLs), load manifests, and proof of delivery
• Identify delays or service issues and assist in resolving them quickly to maintain on-time deliveries
• Update dispatch systems with accurate shipment and load information
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure freight is staged and ready for scheduled transport
• Support compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures
• Assist with logistics reporting, data entry, and operational documentation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, or Business preferred
• Previous experience in logistics coordination, dispatch, transportation, or supply chain operations is a plus
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
• Familiarity with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and basic computer applications
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and team-focused
