The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our finance operations across multiple entities. This execution-focused role blends bookkeeping and full-cycle accounting responsibilities, including reconciliations, journal entries, reporting, and administrative tasks. You’ll work independently while collaborating with our Director of Accounting and cross-entity teams, ensuring accurate financial operations and timely reporting.
What You’ll Do
- Perform full-charge bookkeeping tasks, including accurate record-keeping and transaction entry.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable across multiple entities.
- Conduct bank, credit card, intercompany, and other account reconciliations.
- Post journal entries, including month-end accruals, deferrals, and adjustments.
- Support the accounting cycle, including month-end and year-end close activities.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and assist with collections as needed.
- Assist with audits by preparing supporting documentation and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
- Identify discrepancies and proactively resolve accounting issues.
- Contribute to process improvements, including opportunities to streamline recurring tasks and improve accuracy.
- Assist with administrative accounting tasks, including monitoring mailboxes and supporting documentation.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3–5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and the full accounting cycle.
- Proficient in Excel and comfortable with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Deltek VantagePoint required).
- Ability to handle sensitive financial data responsibly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with ability to manage multiple tasks and entities.
