Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Overnight Houseman to join our hospitality team. In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of our property during nighttime hours. Your proactive approach will help maintain a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike, supporting the seamless operation of our facility. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-standard hospitality experience while working overnight shifts that suit your lifestyle.
Duties
- Practices customer service behaviors, such as listening, initiative, responsiveness, cheerfulness, accommodation, courtesy, honesty, and professionalism.
- Demonstrates good communication skills and helps ensure optimum communication between all shifts, departments, and management.
- Makes decisions in the best interests of the property and in compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates positive Team spirit, helping other Team members as necessary to achieve required standards of productivity and guest care.
- Checks guests in and out in a cheerful, friendly manner, maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with legal requirements, brand, and company standards.
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and service spaces to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, polishing, and carpet cleaning to maintain pristine surfaces.
- Handle janitorial tasks such as restocking supplies, emptying trash bins, and disinfecting high-touch areas to promote hygiene.
- Assist with hotel maintenance duties when needed, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues to maintenance teams.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are properly stored and maintained for safety and efficiency.
- Support housekeeping management by completing nightly reports and documenting completed tasks.
- Maintain a vigilant eye for safety hazards or maintenance needs during overnight hours to ensure guest and staff safety.
