Introduction

Idaho In Home Care is expanding in the region and we are urgently seeking a compassionate caregiver to assist a Veteran receiving hospice care in White Bird, Idaho.

While we are new to this immediate area, we are not new to Idaho and we are certainly not new to caregiving. Our agency is caregiver-ran, meaning our leadership team has worked in the field ourselves. We understand the emotional commitment, responsibility, and long hours that come with caring for others.

Job Overview

This position involves providing compassionate hospice support for a Veteran in the home. The client is bedbound and requires attentive, respectful care focused on comfort and dignity.

Hours may range from 20–40 hours per week depending on Veteran needs, with the potential for Monday–Friday coverage.

Caregivers must be dependable, patient, and comfortable assisting with mobility and personal care while maintaining a calm and supportive presence in the home.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Provide mobility assistance, repositioning, and transfers as needed
• Support comfort-focused hospice care and maintain dignity for the client
• Prepare simple meals and assist with feeding if needed
• Provide medication reminders
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe environment
• Offer companionship and emotional support to the client and family
• Document care activities as required
