The Gloucester Marine Terminal is operated by Gloucester Terminals LLC and offers stevedoring and break bulk services. The terminal, located in the Port of Philadelphia has direct access to highways as well as three rail lines that transit across the United States and Canada, providing unrivaled turnaround times for our partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plug and unplug storage containers from power source within the terminal.
- Record and maintain a log of container temperatures within the terminal.
- Escorting Non-TWIC holders.
- Perform routine housekeeping duties in the shop and work area.
- Maintain a professional work atmosphere.
- Fuel equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Self-motivated; capable of working independently
- Ability to routinely lift weights of 30+ lbs.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including standing, sitting. lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling, and climbing).
- Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays.
- Additional skills may be required to perform additional task(s) specific to work location, department or line of business.
- Ability to read, write, and type in English.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Must have High School diploma or GED.
- Must be able to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).
- Experience operating powered industrial trucks or motor vehicles.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- 90% of daily time spent outside.
- Exposure to extreme weather conditions possible.
